About Ordnance
Ordnance formed at the launch of Wrath Of the Lich King. We are a guild founded from in-game friends and acquaintances, containing both serious raiders and casual players. We are a friendly, familiar guild and raiders are valued on both their in game performances and personal attributes.
We are a progression raiding guild. This means that we expect our raiders to be proactive in all aspects of raiding. We expect all our raiders to research encounters prior to attempting them, we expect them to have consumables ready before raid time and we also expect individuals to assess their performance at the end of the raid. We run WoL (World of Logs) and expect everyone to assess their own individual performance and take steps to rectify any performance deficiencies.
A raid group is only as strong as the weakest member, as such we expect everyone to be competetive in their role. The team that we run will be both your friends and your competition.
We have two raiding ranks in Ordnance, Raider and Core Raider. We define raider as someone with 70-85% attendance, this equates to roughly two raids missed every three weeks. We define a Core Raider as someone with 85%+ attendance, this roughly equates to one raid missed every two weeks.
If you cannot commit to all the above, please do not apply as a raider. If you can accept constructive criticism, prepare yourself for raids, play your class well, and add value to the raid environment we would love to have you as part of the Ordnance team.
Ordnance has worked hard to create & maintain a good reputation on Frostmourne. As such, we expect our members to conduct themselves properly on any public forum or chat whilst they carry the guild tag. As such we impose some strict restrictions of what you can and cannot do in public channels and pug groups. A list of some of the things we do not tolerate is:
- Trolling or publicly abusive behaviour - in any form, whether this be on the wow forums or in public chat this is something we will not tolerate.
- Ninja's - Stealing raid loot/rare drops for your own personal or a friends gain is something we do not tolerate, some guilds may tolerate or even encourage such behaviour, however this is something we are strongly opposed to.
- Elitist attitudes - No matter how progressed we are we do not participate in the chest beating that is conducted by other guilds, we like to be viewed as quiet achievers and ask all our members to help maintain this view.
As a guild we do have a large number of casual/non-raiding members. Casual members are not required to raid and will not be brought to our main raid in 99% of circumstances. If you are a casual member within Ordnance, chances are you will not be raiding progression content with us.
However we do (once in a blue moon) run other guilds events such as alt raids, old content raids and some PvP adventures. All our casual/non-raiding members are more than welcome to join these social events.
No Drama
Drama can easily tear the strongest of guilds apart. Here in Ordnance we enforce a no drama policy. This means if you have an issue you should take it up with an officer or the other person directly. We do not tolerate these kinds of things being brought up in a public channel. Do not stir up drama about an issue, or flame ANYONE on our guild or public forums.
Ordnance likes to promote a friendly drama free environment for our members, as such we require everyone to maintain this policy and to raise any issues you may have through the proper channels.
Casual Members
We do have a large casual member base and people are welcome to join on a casual basis, however you must be aware that you will not be given priority for a raid spot. Raiders will also be given priority on off nights for 10 man content, however you are welcome to join them if there is a spot available.
Raid Times
All raiders are expected to meet 90% of these raid times.
Server time:
- Wednesday: 8.00pm-11pm
- Sunday: 8.00pm-11pm
- Monday: 8.00pm-11pm
Loot System
We run on an EPGP DKP system, this system rewards those who regularly attend raids or who are on the wait list, while also preventing the hording of DKP. Our EPGP DKP system is outlined below:
EP/GP/PR Defined
Effort Points (EP) are awarded for certain events in game, these events include downing a boss, wiping on a progression boss or just being in the raid for a certain amount of time. Gear Points (GP) are awarded each time you receive loot, this is calculated based on the slot value and item level. Your Priority Rating (PR) is established by dividing your EP by your GP i.e. EP/GP = PR. Basically loot is decided by whomever has the highest PR.
EP/GP Decay Rate
Everyone's EP and GP will decay at the start of every raid by 5%, this encourages people to spend their points before they decay below the next competitor, bear in mind that the more EP you stack the more you will lose every raid. Missing raids or not spending your EP can negatively effect your PR.
The minimum GP you can have is 100.
Penalties
Stupid shit can earn you penalties based on the severity, you may receive a -EP or a +GP, neither of these are beneficial to your PR.
Item Values
Item values are calculated via item level times the slot modifier. Slot modifiers are listed below:
1.00 Head, Chest, Legs, 2H Weapon
0.80 Shoulder, Hands, Waist, Feet
0.70 Trinket
0.60 Wrist, Neck, Back, Finger, Off-hand, Shield
0.50 1H Weapon, Ranged Weapon, Wand
(Thanks go to Satrina from Tankspot for these values)
EP Values
EP are awarded for the following:
- 30 EP bonus for being in the raid on time.
- 2 EP every five minutes that you are in the raid or on the waitlist
- 25 EP for killing a non-trivial boss
- 10 EP for killing a trivial boss
- 200 EP bonus for the first kill of a boss
- 30 EP for being in raid at the end of the raid night
- EP may be granted at officer discretion for other service to the guild
Offspec items
Offspec items will be charged at 1/4 the GP e.g. a one hander ilevel 200 weapon will cost 25 GP for offspec. Lower tiers are not charged GP.
Loot priority
There may be occasions where we will need to gear a certain individual for a specific role, this means is the officers may overrule the EPGP system if it will greatly benefit the guild in terms of progression.
Rank Modifiers
To reward our more dedicated players we have in place a GP deduction system that is based on rank. The way this works is all members who have a rank of Raider or above receive a GP discount. The amount of GP discounted for a Raider is 5% of the base GP cost, a core raiders discount is 10%. Officers & above will be classed as Core Raiders for purposes of GP deduction.
If all the above sits well with you please flick over to our
application form, we would love to have you as a member of the team.
